LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- Arkansas teachers have been told they can continue to reward students with candy, despite a state battle against childhood obesity in schools.
Do you think rewarding kids with candy at school is a good idea? Why? Why not?

you know what is really scary in such methods ? that pupils (especially young ones) don't know when to stop, if you promise something you have to keep your word no matter what, they are very sensitive about promises, you have kids so you know. I remember that I had pupils who badgered me as to ice creams, they pestered me at all times but I didn't know why. One day I found out (by chance) that their previous teacher had bought them ice creams as a prize. You have to be particulary watchful as to such kinds of rewards coz if you show something and it catch on, you will have to stick to it and it can turn out to be tough to withdraw if something goes wrong.
