In the Idiom section on "When push comes to shove," Andrzej wrote:
I know that, when push comes to shove, I can always count on you.
I put the commas in to make the sentence structure clearer and show how Americans would pause.
The word 'always' is redundant in this sentence since the toughest times are 'when push comes to shove.' The usage is not wrong but is stating how often twice.
