HEY
how do you address a teacher at school in the US? What words do you use? Miss, Ma'am, Mister if he is male? What when you want to go to the toilet? You raise your hand and say - may I go to the bathroom? and when you are not prepared for the class What do you guys usually say then?

In elementary school / junior high school / high school, you address the teacher as Mr., Miss or Mrs. In college you can also say Professor... Bathroom trips are encouraged during the breaks between the classes, but if you absolutely have to use it during the class, you raise your hand and simply ask: "Mr. Welsh, may I use the bathroom?" (I asked Jonasz: "Jonasz, when you need to go to the bathroom during the class, you raise your hand and ask 'may I go to the bathroom', right?" He said: "What do you think I say, 'may I order a pizza'?" That was the laugh of the day.
