Magda, thank you for your help. Xeo - I am sure you will find Magda's suggestions helpful. There's one thing I would like to ask all of you - as we get more and more people here, we need to make sure that we don't put each other down. This is not the Clickandbite way to do things. We want to make friendships, respect one another, learn from one another and enjoy each other's company. I have to tell you, that every time I visit certain forums (like Onet) and see how much hatred and arrogance there is, I am ashamed. Let's make our Forum a real Clickandbite Family. This doesn't mean that we're always going to agree on everything. It just means that we try to enjoy our differences and learn to build people up, rather than tear them down. OK?

Some of the last posts were deleted because the person who wrote them may not have noticed my plea. If anyone starts to put other people down, their posts will be deleted. If people use bad language - their posts will be deleted. If you can't be constructive in your criticism - your posts will be deleted. If your knowledge causes you to be puffed up rather than helpful, there's absolutely nothing for you here. This web site is not a commercial web site, even if it has .com after its name. I really don't need to have thousands of people here if they can't respect one another. I'd rather have a few who know what friendship is all about. That goes for EVERYONE (just in case). Here - the tough side of me for ya. Greetings!

Humor does not always transition well between the American and Polish cultures. Since most of us aren't fluent in both languages, the intentions to convey humor can be lost on other forum members.
Along the lines of this thread, I moved from the northeast in the U.S. to the southeast. I quickly realized that I had to give up sarcasm as a form of humor or be forever misunderstood by the Southerners. Sarcasm is not a part of this southern subculture within the U.S.
I recognize that this sounds like a stereotype, but many transplanted northerners will attest to its veracity. It's something to be conscious of when learning a language or about another culture.

That's right Ken.. but we have to know how to write in order not to be misunderstood... it's hard to guess somebody's thoughts through his or her "handwriting" that's why we have a little problem here... I hope evertyhing will be OK
